Many enterprises have made efforts to produce masks, which can alleviate the shortage of supply and demand of masks. However, the uneven status of the industry also brings challenges to mask detection. First of all, we should know that the scientific name of nonwovens is nonwovens, so most of the standards of nonwovens are named after nonwovens. The non-woven fabrics used in mask production are mostly polypropylene spunbonded nonwovens, polyester nonwovens and so on.

The inner quality testing items of mask non-woven fabric mainly include width deviation, mass deviation rate per unit area, mass variation coefficient per unit area, breaking strength and elongation at break. Appearance quality inspection items mainly include color difference, cut edge defect rate, joint, frit, foreign body, auxiliary net defect rate, soft folding, etc. 

一 . Filtration efficiency

It is well known that filtration efficiency is a key indicator for mask quality evaluation. This is also one of the important quality standards of non-woven fabrics, so referring to relevant standards, we recommend that the bacterial filtration efficiency of non-woven masks should not be less than 95%, and the particle filtration efficiency should not be less than 30% for non-oily particles.

二 , respiratory resistance

Respiratory resistance, for people wearing masks, the size of the influence of blocking breathing. Therefore, the respiratory resistance of non-woven mask determines the breathing comfort when wearing the mask. Here, we recommend that the inspiratory resistance should be ≤350Pa and the expiratory resistance should be ≤250Pa.

三. Health indicators

Health indicators of nature is another important non-woven mask key indicators. Here, we recommend the detection items mainly include initial contamination bacteria, total number of bacterial colonies, coliform group, pathogenic pyogenic bacteria, total number of fungal colonies, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, candida albicans, residual ethylene oxide, etc.
