Executive standards and applications for N95、KN95、FFP2 masks

KN95/N95 is not a specific product name. Masks types such as N95, KN95, and FFP2,which are derived from the standards of ordinary protective masks in the United States, China, and Europe.

1, KN95 masks

It mainly implements standards for ordinary protective masks that GB 2626-2006 "Respiratory Protective Equipment Self-priming Filtering Anti-particulate Respirator" and GB/T 32610-2016 "Technical Specifications for Daily Protective Masks" .

In the GB 2626-2006 standard, the masks for preventing particulate matter are divided into KN types for filtering non-oily particles and KP types for filtering oily and non-oily particles. KN95 masks is ordinary protection of various types of particulate matter self-priming filter respirator that can filter ≥ 95.0% of non-oily particles. In the GB/T 32610-2016 standard, masks are divided into grades I-III, of which grade II filtration efficiency masks fully meet the KN95 standard. In addition, all medical protective masks also meet the KN95 standard.

2, N95 masks

There is actually no N95 in the Chinese standard. N95 is derived from the NIOSH CFR 42-84 standard for ordinary protective masks in the United States. N95 represents the filtration efficiency of non-oily particles ≥ 95%, which is the same as KN95.

3, FFP2 masks

Comply with the European EN 149-2001 standard, FFP2 represents the filtration efficiency of oily and non-oily particles ≥94%, which is basically the same as N95/KN95.

Application, N95/KN95/FFP2 masks are suitable for on-site exploration, sampling and testing personnel. It is not recommended to wear N95/KN95/FFP2 masks with breathing valves and take a new one every 6-8 hours according to the instructions
